Night 4: Coquito

A traditional Puerto Rican holiday drink made in big batches to share with family and friends.

1 - 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1 - 15 oz can cream of coconut
1 - 12 oz can evaporated milk
1 - 13.5 oz can of coconut milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 to 2 cups rum
Fresh grated nutmeg (garnish)

For a quick and easy version, mix all canned ingredients and spices together in big bowl. Once homogenous, stir in rum. Ladle into glasses and garnish with extra cinnamon and nutmeg.

For a more advanced version, soak 2 cinnamon sticks, 1 vanilla bean and 1/4 cup of raisins in rum over night and stir into canned mixture. No need to use the ground cinnamon or vanilla extract. Ladle into glasses and garnish with fresh grated nutmeg!
